A Word of Hope
Your soul is immortal. It will never die. But when separated from its body, there will be two destinies for her: HEAVEN (eternity with God – eternal happiness) or eternity without God (eternal suffering). There is only one person in this world able to choose the place where you will live eternally. You will say that this person is God, but God says in His Word, the Holy Bible, that this person is you. Only you can choose or determine the eternal destiny of your soul. You can, if you want, choose heaven now, but if you think you can leave the matter for another time, you will have chosen eternity without God for you; if you die now, you will go there forever. Not dying now, you will be walking towards eternity without God.Certainly you want Heaven. And for you to be sure that you are going to enjoy heaven, what you should do is:
- Recognize yourself as sinner. God says:
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
- Recognize that you cannot enter heaven by your own efforts.
“For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8,9)
- Believe that only Jesus Christ can take you to Heaven. Jesus says in John 14: 6.
“I am the way, and the truth and the life.” No one comes to the Father, but for me.Jesus did not say “one of the ways”, but “The way”.
- Accept Jesus Christ as the only Savior.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your home.” (Acts 16:31)But some will say: I am young and I will leave this for later. We would like to say two things:
- You do not need to be old to be near eternity.
- The prophecies of the Bible say that Jesus will return again; and these prophecies are fulfilled in our days. How will your life be on that day? Think about it because the only way of achieving this blessing is Jesus.
“Behold, I am coming soon!” (Revelation. 22: 7)
But if you do not want to choose Heaven, know that you are walking into eternity without God, under the wrath of God.
“… but he who refuses to believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God is upon him.” (John 3: 36b)
