“Ino longer live, but Christ lives in me since the day I accepted Jesus the Savior”. This is the expression of the redeemed soul who wants to live forever in the presence of God. As a public testimony to this decision, three members of the Maranatha Christian Church (ICM) in Accra, Ghana (West Africa), were baptized this past Sunday, January 13, 2019, in the waters of the Marina Lakeside.
The baptized members were a young woman and two men of 18, 38 and 45 years respectively, some of whom had serious problems with vices that were detrimental to their family life until they were able to define themselves in the new life with Christ. “One of the baptized said after the baptism that God has freed him, that he is now free forever of the family collapse he was living,” said Pastor Emmanuel Sawiri. The baptismal service was marked by a moment of communion with those present, with songs of praise and meditation on the biblical messages of the Word of God. The participating church was happy as the event proves its growth as a result of prayer, evangelism and assistance to visitors.
The church in which the baptized congregate has 70 members and is located at Rua P.O. Box MD, 134, Madina neighborhood, city of Accra, in the capital of Ghana. Services are held on Sunday mornings and evenings; also on Thursdays and Fridays.
