“Jesus – the truth that frees” was the theme of the special service, held by the Maranatha Christian Church (MCC), on November 6th, 2020, in which 60 people participated and attended, in the barracks of the Tiro de Guerra army in the municipality of Breves, located in state of Pará. The event, in glorification of God, marked the year of instruction of the soldiers. Following the security guidelines against COVID-19, around 10 members of the church of Breves and Macapá (State of Amapá) and Pastor Edvan Ferreira de Oliveira of the church of Barcarena, located in Vila dos Cabanos (State of Pará), participated in the event.
Amid the praises, message from the Word of God and the spiritual gifts that were manifested during the service, the participants received heavenly blessings. In the end, many asked for prayer and were touched by the Holy Spirit. According to information from Pr Ênio Jesus, pastor of the church in Breves and Deputy Commander of War Shooting in Breves, one of his soldiers reported that he was sad and that he had tried to take his own life, but that at the end of the service he had already been freed from these bad thoughts, feeling an indescribable joy.
Members of the barracks who participated in the special service will continue to receive assistance from MCC through members and pastors in the region so that everyone can have an experience with the “True Word of Jesus” that frees and brings comfort to the soul of man.
